Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored international service club for young professionals between the ages of 18 and 30. As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.
The Michigan Rotaract Club started in 2000 and officially chartered January 18, 2005. It is now one of the strongest clubs in our newly established district.
Rotaract Clubs organize a variety of projects and activities, depending primarily on the interests of the club members. However, within the Rotaract program, all clubs undertake five categories of activities:
- LOCAL SERVICE
- INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- NETWORKING
- LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only develop their knowledge and skills but also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
“Not many social organizations span the globe,
benefiting not only their local communities but the worldwide community.”
